Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh sign a partnership agreement at Hornbill Festival to collaborate on trade, tourism and culture.

DIMAPUR — A roundtable meeting between the Government of Nagaland and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh was convened at the conference hall, Handloom and Craft Pavilion, Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, on Wednesday.
The meeting was held with the objective of strengthening inter-state partnership and exploring avenues for sustained collaboration, stated a DIPR report.
It was also aimed at fostering dialogue on cross-border collaboration, market access, and enterprise development between the two northeastern states.
As a state partner, Arunachal Pradesh showcased its products at Kisama as part of the Hornbill Festival. The pavilion featured a diverse range of offerings, including GI-based handicrafts and textiles, homemade pickles, traditional rice wine and beverages, tea and wellness products, as well as candles and fragrance items.

Interactions during the engagement focused on strengthening inter-state value chains, facilitating B2B and B2G linkages, and supporting artisans and entrepreneurs through collaborations, knowledge exchange, and institutional partnerships.
Both states reiterated their commitment to deepening cooperation to unlock sustainable economic opportunities through mutual cooperation and collective efforts to position the Northeast as a competitive and culturally unique investment destination.
An agreement of partnership between the Government of Nagaland and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh was also signed during the meeting.
The agreement covers collaboration in the areas of music, tourism cooperation, art and culture, industries and commerce, business exchanges and partnerships, youth and sports, and agriculture and allied sectors.
