Nagaland among bottom performers in resolving public complaints

DIMAPUR — The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) released the 14th report on states and union territories’ performance on the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) on Tuesday.

According to the status of public grievances, the Nagaland government received a total of 963 grievances, of which only 76 were disposed of. The state is ranked seventh among the northeastern states, with a cumulative pending percentage of 92.11% from January 1 to September 30, 2023.

Sikkim, with a cumulative pending percentage of 3.45%, is first in the comparative ranking of northeastern states, having resolved 196 of the 203 grievances received between January and September 2023.

Assam is second with a cumulative pending percentage of 14.55%, having resolved 34,032 grievances out of 39,825 received, while Tripura is third with a net score of 17.14%, having resolved 1,460 grievances out of 1,762 received.

Arunachal Pradesh ranks fourth with a cumulative pending percentage of 19.51%, having resolved 326 of the 405 grievances received, followed by the governments of Meghalaya and Mizoram, which rank fifth and sixth with cumulative pending percentages of 30.10% and 40.90%, respectively.

Manipur ranks eighth among all North-Eastern states, with a net score of 98.25% pending grievances.
