Kohima, Feb. 26 (EMN): The invitational Naga WrestleMania 8 – King of the Ring Championship 2021 organised by 3E Nagaland under the aegis of Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA), is all set for showdown on Saturday, 3 pm at Naga Solidarity Park, Kohima.

The management head of 3E Nagaland, Kethosituo Elvis Mepfhüo, informed that 20 best Naga wrestlers will be vying for the coveted “King of the Ring Championship 2021” title.

The champion will receive a cash prize INR 50,000, while the runner-up will pocket INR 30,000, and the third and position holders will receive INR 15,000 and INR 10,000 respectively.

For the first time in Naga wrestling, the event will be live streamed — pay-per-view (PPV) — on Facebook, wherein, users can follow Naga WrestleMania page and buy PPV access to the event using any debit card at a cost of INR 249.

Informing that SOPs issued by the department of health and family welfare will be strictly followed, the organisers have asked all the wrestlers, officials and spectators to compulsorily wear masks and undergo thermal screening and sanitising procedures before entering the venue.
