DIMAPUR — Mungya village in Wokha district celebrated the centennial jubilee of Christianity in the village on December 17 on the theme ‘Embracing a century of God’s faithfulness (Psalms 119:90)’ at Munga local ground.

According to a press release, delivering the jubilee greetings on the occasion, Advisor for Agriculture Mhathung Yanthan congratulated the village and lauded it for celebrating the jubilee with unity and inclusiveness.

Yanthan encouraged the gathering to honour and respect the hardships of the first converts who brought Christianity to the village, and he encouraged everyone to prioritise forgiveness, stating that forgiveness reflects the true nature of Christianity.

In his jubilee message, Rev. LK Tsanglao, pastor of Longsa Baptist Church, conveyed the message of God’s everlasting love, saying that God’s love is unwavering and unchanging. He also asked the gathering to trust and have confidence in God’s reliability.

Using Lamentations 3:22–23 as a reference, the speaker emphasised God’s immense love and mercy, as well as the greatness that is renewed every day. He also highlighted the eternal nature of God’s Word, emphasising its constancy in the transient world.

Nzanmongo Ngullie, pastor of AG Church, Mungya, presided over the event.
