DIMAPUR — The district administration of Tuensang, in collaboration with the All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology (AISECT) Nagaland, launched a one-month training course in domestic electrical and tailoring for unemployed youth in Tuensang.
According to a DIPR report, the inauguration ceremony of the training took place on Wednesday at Town Hall, Tuensang town, and Küdazo Swüro, EAC, addressed the trainees during the event.
Speaking on the occasion, he emphasised the importance of acquiring skills and maintained that skill-based employment opportunities are not gender-specific.
Swüro expressed concern over the high rate of unemployment in the country, attributing it to a lack of skills among the youth.
He noted that the primary goal of the training programme is to empower the unemployed youth of Tuensang by creating self-employment opportunities and enabling them to earn a sustainable living.
