SaiSure Multi-nutrient Health Mix programme launched in Saijang

DIMAPUR — A SaiSure Multi-nutrient Health Mix programme for school children under PM Poshan was launched at Government Middle School in Saijang under Ahthibung block in Peren district on October 3 on the theme “Let no child go to school hungry ever.”

A DIPR report stated that the national manager of Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, Allath Santosh, spoke on the importance of nutrition in growing children and how daily morning nutrition could make a difference in the growth and development of the child. He also emphasised on how Saisure multi-nutrient supplement could aid in improving the health of the children.

Santosh added that in order to get rid of the problem of malnutrition among children in the country, it required collective efforts and sacrifice of everyone.

It stated that short speech was also delivered by the director of School Education, Wonthungo Tsopoe, while a song was presented by the students of GMS Saijang.

The programme chaired by a teacher of GMS Saijang, Chongbem, while an introductory note was delivered by SIS of Ahthibung block, Hentinthang Singson, concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by senior district education officer (SDEO) of Peren.

The launch programme was also attended by nodal officer, Khriekethozo Lhoungu; senior SDEO of Tening; GB of Saijang, members of village council, SMC Saijang and head teachers from 41 schools under Ahthibung block.
