MLA Yhokha appointed advisor to Chief Minister of Nagaland
Dimapur, Nov. 25 (EMN): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has appointed the recently elected member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), Medo Yhokha, as Advisor to the chief minister of Nagaland with immediate effect.
Yhokha of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) won the 14-Southern Angami-1 seat in the recent bye-election and was sworn in as a member of NLA on November 18.
‘This arrangement would help utilise the vast and practical experience of the member of
Nagaland Legislative Assembly for the benefit of public at large. The advisor will render his advice on matters that are referred to them by the concerned department for their views/suggestions before the issue is put up to the concerned minister in-charge for decision,’ read the notice issued by DIPR.

“The advisor will not be eligible for any pay, salary, emoluments, remuneration or any perks/advantages of any kind, from the Government of Nagaland other than what is normally admissible to them as members of Nagaland Legislative Assembly through the Assembly Secretariat,” it added.
