Dimapur, March 26 (EMN): Underlining the decadence of Christian faith among the believers in the Naga society, minister of Tribal Affairs and Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along, has called for introspection whether the churches are truly following the teaching of the Bible.

Speaking at the 40th fresher’s day programme of the Discipleship Bible College (DBC) in Dimapur on Friday, Imna Along observed that people have almost become nominal Christians in Nagaland.

To substantiate his statement, Imna Along, pointed out that most churches have been institutionalised so much that it is no more a giver of enlightenment to the hopeless and called upon the church to introspect and be an inspiration and strength.

The minister added that even though church buildings have grown bigger physically, life of the people in Nagaland has become worse in terms of faith and believe they professed.

Stating that it was a privilege to be studying at the Discipleship Bible College, Longkumer urged the freshers to seek the Lord and to live by grace. He also encouraged the gathering to work hard, be focussed, dedicated and determined in their faith to serve the lord. Altogether, 82 new students joined the college. Currently, there are 293 students studying at Discipleship Bible College.
