Menuokhriezo Metha from Chiechama Village clinches the title at the Northern Angami Sports Association Under-15 Wrestling Meet 2026 in Kohima.

KOHIMA — Menuokhriezo Metha clinched the championship title at the Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA) Under-15 Wrestling Meet 2026, held at Tsütuonuomia Indoor Stadium, Kohima village, on Saturday
The championship was organised by NASA and witnessed the participation of 24 young wrestlers, with six competitors each from NASA groups A, B, C, and D.
Metha hails from Chiechama village, representing Group D. He was also the champion of NAYSA-D 2026. The champion pocketed INR 20,000 as prize money and also received the Late Rukhietuolie (Akhie) Liezietsu Running Trophy for NASA U-15 Champion.

Meanwhile, Mhaphruovizo Thevo finished in the runner-up position and was awarded INR 15,000, while Vimethazo Zhale secured the third position and received INR 10,000. Kevisede Chiese placed fourth in the competition and pocketed INR 7,000.
It may be mentioned here that the NASA Wrestling Meet (Senior) 2026 will be held on February 4 at Khuochiezie, Kohima Local Ground.
Nagaland’s Minister for Housing and Mechanical Engineering, P Bashangmongba Chang, will attend as the chief guest, while Treasurer of the Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) and former president of NASA, Neiyalie Angami, will attend as the guest of honour.
