LXVI Kohima Village Sports Meet: Tsütuonuomia Khel dominates medal tally

KOHIMA — Numerous outdoor games, including volleyball, football, cricket, and basketball were featured on Friday, the sixth day of the ongoing LXVI Sports Meet of the Kohima Village Sports Association (KVSA).

Lhisemia Khel secured the gold in men’s football, while Dapfütsumia Khel claimed the silver.

Lhisemia Khel clinched the gold in men’s cricket and Tsütuonuomia Khel bagged the silver.

In the men’s volleyball, Lhisemia Khel took the gold, and Pfuchatsumia Khel secured the silver, while Dapfütsumia Khel emerged victorious in the women’s category and Lhisemia Khel secured the silver.

In men’s basketball, Dapfütsumia Khel took home the gold, and Lhisemia Khel bagged the silver, while Tsütuonuomia Khel won gold and Dapfütsumia Khel silver in the women’s category of the discipline.

Tsütuonuomia Khel topped the chart with 42 medals, including 22 gold, 12 silver, and 8 bronze, till the time of filing of this report, closely followed by Lhisemia Khel with 37 medals, including 11 gold, 18 silver, and 8 bronze.

Dapfütsumia Khel is in the third position with a total of 21 medals — 7 gold, 8 silver, and 6 bronze – while Pfuchatsumia Khel is in the fourth spot with 17 medals, including 6 gold, 8 silver, and 3 bronze.

Saturday will feature a marathon, starting at noon from TCP Gate, through Pezielietsie, High School Junction, New Secretariat, Medical College and Priebagei before culminating at Kewhimia Ground, Ziekezou.
