Kuluvezo Soho is PAWA wrestling champion 2024; list for CWA championship released

DIMAPUR — Kuluvezo Soho of Phek village won the Phek Area Wrestling Association (PAWA) 28th wrestling championship 2024, which concluded at Phek Town on January 30 with class-I contractor Shevohu Nienu as the special quest of the event.

A delayed update received here on Friday, informed that the champion received a cash prize of INR 1,00,000 (INR 1 lakh), while the first runner-up Serayi Tetseo of Khuza was awarded INR 70,000, second runner-up Basayi Keyho of Phek village received INR 50,000 and fourth position holder Sao Vezuh of Khomi village was awarded INR 40,000.

In Under 16 (U-16) category, Vevo Rhakho of Khuza village won the first prize, while Cheweri Swuro of Losami village won the second place, Vekruo Vezuh of Khomi village third place, and Ve-ekri Tsutso of Lozaphuhu village fourth place.

Meanwhile, the following wrestlers of senior category along with the four best Under 16 wrestlers have been selected to represent Phek area at the Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) 29th championship scheduled to be held at Chozuba Town on February 9:
