All government and educational institutions in Kohima are directed to administer the National Pledge Against Drug Abuse on August 18.
DIMAPUR — The Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, B Henok Buchem, has directed all government offices, schools, colleges, and public and private institutions across Kohima district to organise the "National Pledge Against Drug Abuse" on August 18.
The programme is being organised as part of the observance of the sixth year of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), in pursuance of directives from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, for nationwide observance of the campaign, according to a DIPR report.
All concerned institutions have been instructed to administer the national pledge on the designated day. They have also been directed to submit an Action Taken Report (ATR) in the prescribed format, along with photographs of the programme, to the deputy commissioner's office or via WhatsApp to the district welfare officer, Kohima (6909997635) on or before August 20.
The deputy commissioner has requested all concerned to ensure strict compliance with the directives and actively participate in the campaign to reinforce the message of a drug-free society.
