Kohima Super Cup: Barak FC, Aphuyemi FC secure quarter-final berth

Kohima, May 23 (EMN): Barak FC defeated A Yhome FC 5-1, while Aphuyemi FC beat Magdaline Coaching FC 3-1 to secure their respective quarter-final berth in the ongoing Kohima Super Cup 2022 at Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima on Monday.

Playing the first match, Elminhao opened the account for Barak FC in the 7th minute and Samson Konyak added another goal in the 28th minute to lead the game in the first half.

Subsequently, in the second half, Barak FC added three more goals through Baoringdao Bodo in the 66th minute, Aloumei and Hminglu in the 84th and 90th minutes. The lone goal for A Yhome FC was scored by Vilhoubituo.

In the second match, Aphuyemi FC defeated Magdaline Coaching FC 3-1. No team registered a goal in the first half.

Magdaline Coaching FC’s Dupisa Pucho scored a goal in the 50th minute. However, the opponent’s Lironthung Lotha scored an equaliser in the 70th minute, following which, he added another goal through a penalty and K Thopi added the last goal for Aphuyemi FC.

Meanwhile on May 24, G-Sports FC will take on Hurricane Boys Phesama at 11:30 am and Sechü FC Academy will clash with New Market FC at 1:30 pm.
