Kohima Super Cup: A Yhome FC, Barak FC win first matches

Kohima, May 17 (EMN):
A Yhome FC and Barak FC won their first matches on day-two of the ongoing 4th Kohima Super Cup 2022 at Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS) Kohima on Tuesday.

Playing the first match, A Yhome FC thrashed United Brothers 5-1 with the first goal being scored in the 9th minute by Vilhoubeituo for A Yhome FC. Subsequently, Ringham Jigdung added another goal in the 29th minute.

In the second half, Punuru Nienu added another goal in 47th minute while a hat-trick was made by Johnson in the 61st, 77th and 86th minutes to prove dominance against the United Brothers whose solitary goal was made by Mhalezotuo Dzuvichu in the 68th minute.

During the second match, Barak FC won against Wolves XI FC 5-0.

For the winning team, Elminhao opened the account in the 23rd minute which was followed by Baoringdao Bodo in the 34th minute to end the first half. Subsequently after the break, Baoringdao Bodo and Elminhao added another goal each in the 53rd and 61st minutes and Somson Konyak also helped the team with another goal in the 68th minute.

It may be mentioned that Baoringdao Bodo is a former ISL champion who currently is in the state capital playing in the Kohima Super Cup for Barak FC.

In his first match, he scored two goals for his team on Tuesday afternoon.
