DIMAPUR — Kohima District Cricket Association (KDCA) advisors, Keviselhou Sekhose and Viketho Kechü, unveiled KDCA’s new logo at The Guardian Hotel and Restaurant, Kohima, on November 8.

According to a press release, speaking on the occasion, Mengu Sakhrie, president of KDCA, briefed on the need for the new logo, stating that the old one had some outdated elements like the old Kohima map, which contained the current districts of Kohima, Dimapur, and Tsemenyu.

He also announced that an inter-club T20 tournament for the Kohima district will be held beginning November 21 at Jakhama village ground, with eight teams competing for the trophy. Concurrently, a three-day coaching camp for sub-junior boys and girls will be held at the same venue as the tournament.

KDCA general secretary Keneilhouzo Sekhose gave a brief report on the organisation’s activities and highlighted trial camps conducted by KDCA, where more than 80 participants took part, and mentioned that 14 boys and four girls have been selected under various categories to represent the Nagaland Cricket Team for the season 2023–24.

He also said that the Nagaland Cricket Association has already set up seven practice nets in Kohima district, with another six in the works.
