KBC’s Jubilee Trophy 2022 set to kick off

The open football tournament ‘Jubilee Trophy 2022,’ organised by Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) in commemoration of the church’s silver jubilee celebration with the theme ‘Press towards the goal,’ is all set to kick off.

A total of 27 teams from men’s department/ fathers’ fellowship from 26 churches will vie for the jubilee trophy, which will commence on October at Meriema ground and later at Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS), Kohima.

The inaugural function will be held on October 20 at Meriema ground at 1:30 pm. The organising committee has informed all the participating teams to attend the inaugural function.

Executive secretary, Pesocha Baptist Church Council, Medoneiu Usou, will be the special guest in the inaugural function.

Convenor of the organising committee, Neizokhotuo Belho, will deliver welcome address and Khriezovolie Suokhrie will administer oath to the participating teams.

The champion will fetch INR 1 lakh with trophy and citations while the first runner-up will receive INR 70,000.

The losing semi finalist teams will receive INR 30,000 each while individual cash prize of INR 10,000 each will also be awarded to highest scorer, best goal keeper, best defender and best midfielder. The player of the tournament will receive INR 15,000.

The best disciplined team will also receive INR 10,000.

The inaugural match will be played between Christ King Church and Touphema BC.
