Kohima, Dec 18 (EMN): The silver jubilee celebration of Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) at NBCC Convention Centre in Kohima culminated on Sunday. Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, founder and senior pastor of KBC and principal of Kohima Bible College, was the speaker at the Sunday morning service.

Speaking at the concluding programme, Rev. Kiewhuo stated that the church was formed in December 21, 1997, through the revelation of God. He maintained that KBC was the first to introduce dawn prayer and Bible study.

The speaker exhorted the gathering to stay focused, disciplined and pay the price and be good players of faith like a game citing from the book of Hebrew 12:2 by looking unto Jesus.

Rev. Kiewhuo said the jubilee theme was taken from Luke 4:19 “To declare the year of the Lord” with the spirit of the Lord to deliver and proclaim liberty to all the good news of breakthrough, deliverance and testimonies.

He asserted that Jesus came to earth to pay the price of sins as mankind has fallen short of the glory of God and died on the cross with declaration for ‘Forgiveness.’ He, therefore, urged the members to motivate one another with the message of love to overcome all problems through Jesus Christ. He also told the congregations to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and be guided in all that they do.

Rev. Kiewhuo further exhorted the congregation to learn from the best teacher- the Holy spirit — saying the beauty of Christianity is in learning till the last breath. He also exhorted the members to get rid of lust, temptations and money.

The programme was chaired by Khriezovolie Suokhrie, while songs were presented by Uttarakhand Missionary Group, jubilee choir, Dr. Watinaro Kiewhuo, and church senior choir.

In the evening, Dr. Rev. Batkupar Dunai, senior pastor of Cathedral of Praise, Now Generation Outreach Revival Assembly from Shillong, Meghalaya, was the speaker.

Greeting was delivered by Tushar Manna from Kolkata, in a programme led by Menuosielie Usou, KBC evangelist, while songs were presented by Koinonia Fellowship from Itanagar, The Oasis, jubilee choir and youth from CR Mission Church.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Neibalie Kiewhuo, pastor of KBC and convenor of organising committee.
