Kakheto Sema appointed as Additional Judge of Gauhati High Court

Kohima, Oct 12 (EMN): The President of India on Tuesday appointed Kakheto Sema as Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court (GHC).
In a notification issued by the government of India, Ministry of Law and Justice, department of Justice (appointment division), four other persons were also appointed as additional judges.
“In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Kakheto Sema; Devashis Baruah; Malasri Nandi, and Marli Vankung, to be Additional Judges of the Gauhati High Court, for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices,” it read.
It added that Arun Dev Choudhury has also been appointed as an Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court for a period of two years with effect from November 5, 2021 or after he assumes charge of his office.
