IDAN organises discussion on women entrepreneurship
DIMAPUR — With an aim to celebrate achievements of women entrepreneurs in Nagaland and underscore the significance of empowering women for sustainable development and individual growth, Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) organised a panel discussion on women entrepreneurship and empowerment at Bloom Bazaar in Kohima on November 18.
The panelists were Dr. Vezokholu Theyo, joint director of Health and Family Welfare; Adi Nakhro, gender specialist at State Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW); Nagali Shohe, advocate-cum-panel lawyer of Kohima District Legal Services Authority; Sali Kez Ngully, director of LifeConnect Nagaland; and Ben Pamie, founder and CEO of P7.
An update from IDAN stated that the discussion revolved around Nagaland women’s privilege in terms of education and equality with a focus on various schemes and initiatives for fostering sustainable development. It added that the participants have actively exchanged insights, shared experiences and disseminated valuable information on women’s issues and empowerment.
