Highway Area Sumi Students’ Union convenes 15th Baghi Hoho
DIMAPUR — The 15th Baghi Hoho of Highway Area Sumi Students’ Union commenced on Thursday at Diphupar village, Chümoukedima, on the theme ‘For a progressive future’.
The chief guest for the inaugural session of the two-day conference was Dr. Akali Sema, Pro Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University, School of Agricultural Sciences (SAS), Medziphema Campus.
Speaking on the occasion, she mentioned that girls have a significant presence in the business sector and highlighted many success stories of Nagas in entrepreneurship. She referenced individuals such as Dili Khekho of D’Cafe in Kohima and Vivito Yeptho of Nagaland Coffee.
Encouraging the youth to pursue their dreams, she emphasised that if they don’t follow their passions and interests, others may hire them to fulfil their own dreams.
The conference, which will culminate on December 15, will feature various cultural performances, competitions, indoor games, and the Mr. and Miss HASSU contest.
