Good Morning Nagaland: Le Bistro’s special recipe ‘Five Spice Rib Stickers’

Five Spice Rib Stickers
Ingredients (serve 4):
1kg Pork spare ribs
2 tsp Chinese Five spice powder
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tbsp grated fresh root ginger
1/2 tsp chilli sauce
4 tbsp dark soy sauce
3 tbsp dark muscovado (molasses) sugar
1 tbsp sunflower oil
4 spring onions
Steps:
Place the spare ribs in a large bowl. Mix together all the remaining ingredients, except the spring onions, and pour over the ribs. Toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl and leave to marinate in the refrigerator over night.
q Cook the ribs on a medium-hot barbecue or grill pan, turning frequently, for about 30-40 minutes. Brush occasionally with the remaining marinade.
q while the ribs are cooking, finely slice the spring onions. Sprinkle them over the ribs and serve with fresh salad immediately .
