Economic Advisory Council-PM team promises to address issues faced by Nagaland entrepreneurs

DIMAPUR — Member of Economic Advisory Council (EAC) to Prime Minister (PM), Sanjeev Sanyal, on Saturday assured to look into the hurdles faced by young and qualified entrepreneurs of Nagaland by co-ordinating with the state government and Nodal Ministry at the Centre.

The hurdles he acknowledged included transportation of goods, lack of cold storage and power disruption, said an update from State Protocol Officer of Home department.

Interacting with entrepreneurs in the conference hall of the DPDB at Phek town during his visit to the district headquarters, along with the director of EAC- PM, Devi Prasad Mishra, and Dr. Vekho Swuro, Sanyal urged the youth to take up eco-tourism projects.

The Central team also visited Subhas Hut at Military Camp in Chakhabama, and Lozaphuhu village over a luncheon hosted by the village council, who submitted a memorandum during a brief reception ceremony. It was informed that Sanyal had assured to look into the matters highlighted by the village.

They were also accorded a grand reception at Ruzhazo, the first administered village of Indian National Army (INA).

The EAC-PM team, who arrived in Nagaland on Friday for a five-day tour, is scheduled to trek along Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s INA route, attend Sunday worship service and visit INA memorial park construction site on Sunday, before heading for Vivor Hotel in Kohima.
