Dimapur electrical division warns consumers

DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Electrical Division will be carrying out a ‘raid and disconnection drive’ to tackle non-payment of electricity bills and all other illegal activities like meter tampering and hooking, for all categories of consumers within its jurisdiction.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, Executive Engineer Y Akito Sema informed that the drive would be conducted, “without further notice and will be continued on a daily basis till new directives or order in this regard.”

Advising consumers to pay their electricity bills within the stipulated time in order to avoid any inconveniences, it also informed that any discrepancies or grievances regarding electricity bills can be addressed by visiting the office of the respective SDO (E)  NO-I, II and III for clarification, correction or rectification at the earliest.

Further, it notified that there have been some modifications in the online payment portal and the ‘DoPN’ mobile application downloaded from Play Store has been disabled. Therefore, to make payments online, consumers can login at www.dopn.gov.in to view and pay the electricity bill online through GPay, PhonePe, SBI YONO, Amazon, PayTM, BHIM, and other online payment modes.
