DIMAPUR — St. Mary Higher Secondary School defeated SD Jain Higher Secondary School by 31 runs in the ongoing DDCA U-16 Inter- School Cricket Tournament 2024, played at Dimapur District Sports Council stadium on Saturday.
SD Jain won the toss and elected to field first and in the process, St. Mary batsmen were all out for 116 runs in 17.5 overs.
Rohit Roy and Prince Giri contributed 25 and 19 runs, respectively.
In the run chase, SD Jain HSS pursued the target with determination but were unsuccessful as they were all out 14.4 overs, having scored only 85 runs. Abijeet with 20 runs and Sahil Thakur (19 runs) were the only notable batsmen for SD Jain.
The man of the match award went to Gaurav Laitonjam of St. Mary HSS for his 8 runs and 5 wickets.
