Kohima, Jan. 7 (EMN):
Governor of Nagaland RN Ravi on Thursday swore in David Thingchum Sangtam as a member of the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC).

A swearing-in ceremony was held at Dr. Imkongliba Hall, Raj Bhavan in Kohima, where the governor administered the oath of secrecy to the new member of NPSC.

Sangtam was accompanied by civil society organisation leaders from the Eastern Naga People’s Organisation (ENPO) during the swearing-in ceremony.

The programme was attended by the minister for Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu; and Minister for Soil and Water Conservation, Geology and Mining and Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation (NSMDC), Kashiho Sangtam, along with advisors, and government functionaries led by Chief Secretary J Alam.

The governor had on November 26, 2020 announced the appointment of Sangtam as a member of the NPSC for a period of six years or until he attains 62 years, whichever is earlier, following the retirement of A Wopen Lotha on November 30, 2019.
