DIMAPUR — On day 2 of the ongoing Cooch Behar Trophy 2023-24 Plate Group final at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima, Nagaland resumed their batting and managed to add 23 runs to their overnight score to finish their 1st inning at 275 runs.

According to an update, Meghalaya's start was also similar to that of Nagaland, as they too lost early wickets.

Meghalaya lost 4 wickets for 68 runs before Avinash (52 runs), Kishlay (21 runs) and Shavian's unbeaten 58 runs steadied the innings and helped the team finish the day at 202/6, trailing Nagaland by only 73 runs.

For Nagaland, Rajesh Das took 3 wickets. Nagaland's sloppy fielding during the afternoon session, where they dropped 6 catches, let Meghalaya come back into the game.
