Tizit, Aug. 31 (EMN): Amidst speculation around Nagaland’s political climate in the wake of forming an opposition-less government under the new nomenclature ‘Nagaland United Government’ (NUG), Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday said that “everything is intact”.
He was speaking to journalists on the sideline of a programme, where he inaugurated the Langto Tea Industry at Sangsa in Tizit under Mon district.
It was also informed that a series of consultations had been held in connection with the political development.
When asked if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which had a pre-poll alliance with the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) in the previous assembly elections, had backed off from the NUG following the entry of Naga People’s Front, Rio said: “They did not back-off; we are discussing.”
He also informed that he was going to Delhi on Tuesday afternoon via Guwahati to meet BJP National President J P Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah.
