BJP national president Nadda to hold public rally, convent several meetings in Nagaland
Kohima, Sep. 14 (EMN): The National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), JP Nadda, will arrive in the state on a two-day visit on Thursday.
Sources from the party informed that Nadda will hold several party meetings, including interaction with party leaders and intellectuals during his visit.
After arriving at Dimapur Airport around 11 am on Thursday, he will proceed to Old Riphyim, Tuyi Mandal in Wokha to address a public rally at GMS ground from 12 noon onwards. It is the home constituency of Deputy Chief Minister and BJP legislature party leader, Y Patton.
Later in the afternoon, the BJP leader will arrive in Kohima to hold a meeting with the state BJP office bearers to the mandal-level at the Capital Cultural Hall, PR Hill.
All the state office bearers, spokespersons, state executive members, special invitees, state council members, state BJP Morcha/ Cells/ department members and district and mandal BJP officials will attend the meeting, it was informed.
Nadda will then hold a meeting with the BJP legislators and Nagaland’s lone Rajya Sabha MP S Phangnon Konyak at the residence of Y Patton in Kohima.
His itinerary also includes a meeting with Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio along with the state BJP office bearers at the CM’s residence in the evening (at around 08:20 pm on Thursday).
According to the source, on the second day (September 16), Nadda will visit the Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo (KABA) and the St. Mary’s Cathedral in Kohima at 9:45 am onwards before leaving for Chumoukedima, where he will meet with intellectuals and professionals at the Police Complex, Chumoukedima at 12 noon.
Further, it was informed that he will hold another meeting with the state BJP core committee at Y Patton’s residence in Dimapur at around 2:20 pm on Friday.
