BJP Mokokchung conducts PM Vishwakarma registration drive

DIMAPUR — A two-day registration drive on PM Vishwakarma for qualified applicants, organised by BJP Mokokchung district concluded at its office concluded on Friday.

An update from BJP Mokokchung district stated that the registration drive on PM Vishwakarma, a central scheme to support traditional artisans and crafts persons of rural and urban India, was led by its co-convenor, Rongsenyanger.

It mentioned that the PM Vishwakarma has a financial outlay of INR 13,000 crore and 18 traditional trades would be covered in the 1st phase. It added that artisans and craftsperson would be provided recognition with PM Vishwakarma certificates and ID card.

The PM Vishwakarma aims to provide credit support upto INR 1 lakh (1st tranche) and INR 2 lakh (2nd tranche) with a concessional interest rate of 5%. The scheme would provide skill upgradation, toolkit incentive and incentive for digital transactions and marketing support.

It further mentioned that the scheme does not need collateral or guarantor and anyone could apply from any CSC unit/point.
