Be peacemakers and initiators of change, says Kikon

Advisor for Information Technology and Communication, New and Renewable Energy, Science and Technology, Mmhonlumo Kikon, who is also the BJP national spokesperson, urged its party workers to be peacemakers and initiators of change.

Kikon was speaking at the advent Christmas celebration of the BJP Nagaland unit at Bamboo Pavilion in Kisama.

Delivering greetings, Kikon made an ardent call to the party workers with a challenge to commit themselves to bring peace in the region and be initiators for peace making and agents of change in the society.

Kikon said the BJP party is working to ensure that even the corner most part of the country is benefited under various initiatives through benefit transfers and others.

He told the party workers to emulate the lesson from the life of Jesus- to serve and not be served and added that the party had significantly played its role well during the pandemic in ensuring that the entire state in Nagaland possessed necessary equipment for the pandemic.

Meanwhile he also made an appeal to the party men and women to rethink its responsibilities to serve the people of the state with humility, making it as their commitment during this Christmas.

“We should be known as a party of integrity”, said Kikon and urged all the party workers to be warriors of anti-corruption.

Kikon reiterated the party led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to bring peace in the region citing that there will be no development without peace.

Further he told the participants to serve the people with utmost energy with dedication and commitment to carry forward the state of Nagaland to its full potential.

He added that the BJP party is not against any religion but a party that is committed to bring development in the state at par with other states.

Meanwhile, the party president and minister for Higher Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along extended his greetings to the people of the state and all rank and files of the BJP.

He called upon the party men and women to reconcile and forgive one another during the season, celebrating the Christmas.

Along also encouraged the participants to emulate the life of Jesus Christ in its endeavour to uplift the people of state with commitment to work harder for ensuring development and progress in every corner in empowering those who are not empowered.

The guest speaker, Rev. Vezopa Rhakho, Pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church, Kohima in his message called upon the people renew themselves in their relationship with God.

He urged the participants to think Christmas beyond festivities and humble themselves before the Lord and invite Jesus Christ upon their lives.
