DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles organised a lecture to motivate youth to join the armed forces at Wakching, Mon, on March 2. During the event, attendees were acquainted with career opportunities in the Assam Rifles and the Indian Army, as well as the selection procedures to join the armed forces in various categories.

According to an update, a total of four teachers and 110 students from private and government schools in Wakching attended the lecture.

On the same day, with the aim of providing health services to pregnant and newly married women in remote border areas, Assam Rifles organised a gynaecological medical camp at Longwa.

The team examined 133 women and provided the requisite medicines and medical advice for their ailments.

On February 29, Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), handed over newly acquired state-of-the-art pottery equipment to Tabitha Enabling Academy, Kohima, under the Assam Rifles Comprehensive Action Plan (AR CAP) Project 2023–24.

Speaking on the occasion, Ati Ngone, co-proprietor of the academy, expressed heartfelt gratitude for Assam Rifles’ ongoing efforts in nurturing the academy’s growth and empowering children to realise their full potential.
