ANTA central felicitates children of its members

KOHIMA — All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) central on Saturday felicitated the children of its members who secured 1st division in the recently declared HSLC and HSSLC examinations during a programme held at Hotel Japfu in Kohima.

A total of 20 students were awarded with cash and citation in the presence of their parents during the programme.

Addressing the event, ANTA central president, Dziesevituo Solo, informed that this year’s event was the second in a row to felicitate children of its members. He also informed that one child belonging to the association member secured a post of SDO through the NPSC last year.

He has lauded the members for exhibiting the values of integrity and dignity of labour with sheer hard work. Solo also exhorted the students to be rational and learn to say no and not to succumb to peer pressures.

Stating that education is an asset, which no one could take it away from a person, he advised the students to value the sacrifices made by their parents and strive for the best in all their endeavours.

Meanwhile, the general secretary of ANTA central, Meyieho Hibo, congratulated the students for passing out in flying colours amid stiff competition among the students. He exhorted the students to strive harder to be successful in their life.

Speeches were also delivered by the members and parents on the occasion, wherein they have acknowledged the initiative of the ANTA HQ, Kohima.

A song was presented by Vetholu Rhakho, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Victor Rutsa, secretary to the treasurer.

A total of 11 HSLC students and nine HSSLC students felicitated for securing first division.
