Dimapur, June 4 (EMN): A newborn boy was found abandoned in a paddy field at Singrijan in Dimapur on Thursday, June 4.
According to sources, a woman passing through the field found the baby dumped in a paddy field, after which the police was informed.
The infant, said to be around two or three days old, was brought to the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research where he is being kept in ICU. His condition is stable, according to police.
The doctor treating the baby said that he was found with some minor injuries but is recovering.
This is the third incident involving abandoned babies reported in Nagaland, in the past two weeks.
On May 22, a baby boy was found abandoned near old NST in Kohima; and on May 24, another newborn boy was found abandoned at the state stadium near ADC court junction in Dimapur.
