DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Transparency, Public Rights Advocacy and Direct Action Organisation (NTPRADAO) has expressed concern over the recent abduction of two Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) members by the Niki-led NSCN (K).

In a press release, the NTPRADAO conveyed relief that the duo was released on time without any harm inflicted. The organisation extended appreciation to the Dimapur Police for taking effective measures to resolve the abduction case.

“The NTPRADAO also extends our unflinching support for the protest move led by the Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) for taking a firm stand against unlawful practices of multiple taxations and remained committed to support Naga entrepreneurs and businesses,” it affirmed.

At the same time, the NTPRADAO was of the view that all sections of Naga society must put their heads together and work in unison towards a cohesive Naga society, honouring the long history of Naga national struggle with countless lives lost.

It urged upon the Government of India to expedite the 2015 and 2017 Naga political agreements for a lasting peace and permanent solution.

“Till such time arrives, the entire Naga society has to maintain a deeper level of empathy, tolerance and great understanding with the Naga Political Groups (NPGs) numbering around 25-26, giving them some leverage and space,” the NTPRADAO added.
