The NSCN/GPRN’s strict adherence to Naga Sovereignty through non-violence remains unquestionable. Recently, Mr. Yung Aung, a gangster, has been trying to be the lone saboteur, especially to the Eastern Nagas, and a stain on the entire Naga people.
One of the most blatant falsehoods is his empty claim of fighting the Indian Security Forces and the Myanmar Army. In reality, these staged acts are only aimed at uprooting the future of students and reintroducing socio-economic degeneration into Naga society. Yung Aung’s true approach is not Naga Sovereignty but earning tips to fulfill his individualistic ambitions.
He manipulates a handful of followers under the pretext of Sovereignty, but in fact, his aim is to enforce illegal taxation upon innocent Nagas. This is evident from his extortion of taxes for the years 2024, 2025, and 2026 all at once-criminality that the Nagas have never witnessed under the occupation of the British, India, or Myanmar. His lies create chaos, instill terrorism, and tear apart the fabric of our society.
One of his gravest betrayals was assigning five members of the Cease-fire Committee to meet with the Myanmar Government, only to set up a ploy and have them imprisoned in Myanmar jails. To expose his gangster nature and vendetta, the cease-fire committee members were unconstitutionally expelled without the approval of the Tatar Hoho.
Lately, the NSCN (GPRN) discovered that Mr. Yung Aung, a habitual liar, is said to have used false prophets and soothsayers to wield power as Chairman, with his cousin brother Chowansing as a living witness.
Yung Aung’s primitive mission is to take the Eastern Nagas backward and advocate isolationism, while the NSCN(GPRN) is tirelessly trying to bring the light of hope and modernisation. How do we define his family and puppets enjoying the protection of Indian security forces in New Salang village, Changlang district?
He has driven out all Naga leaders from the west, playing right into India’s “divide and rule” strategy. But NSCN/GPRN remains resolute in its commitment to protecting the unity of the Nagas everywhere. Yung Aung arrogantly claims, “I don’t need public support, I’ll fight alone,” revealing him as nothing more than a foolish dictator under the influence of opium and drugs.
His brazen attack on the GHQ, where all national records dating back to the era of the late Chairman S.S. Khaplang, the late Chairman Isak Chishi Swu, and General Secretary Th. Muivah are kept, marks one of the darkest days in Naga history. His desperate attempt to erase the sacred records of our struggle is a crime against the Naga people, far worse than any terrorist organization in the world. Yung Aung is a traitor-his actions are nothing but an anti-Naga agenda wrapped in deceit.
The Nagas are fully aware of his vile motives. Yung Aung is a virus-poisonous to the Naga cause-who worships non-Naga armed groups while condemning his own people. The NSCN/GPRN, under the leadership of His Excellency Chairman Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) Ang Mai, Vice President Nyeiton Konyak, and General Secretary Kughalu Mulatonu, calls on the Naga people to recognise this anti-Naga virus before it’s too late. Yung Aung is leading the Nagas down a path of destruction, with no real goal in sight.
The NSCN/GPRN is determined to resolve all misunderstandings with India and Myanmar through peaceful means, under a peace umbrella where all can coexist. But make no mistake-the unity and survival of the Naga people are non-negotiable, and we will not tolerate any force that threatens it.
Mr. Yung Aung, what is your Sovereignty when you have disassociated and declared the entire Naga Freedom Fighters as your staunch enemies? Whose Sovereignty are you trying to preach? A Gangster’s Sovereignty?
