Nagaland: DMC continues RRR campaign

DIMAPUR — Continuing with the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (RRR) campaign that commenced on May 20, the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) held a programme to collect materials on Saturday at the centralised temporary RRR centre located at the DDSC stadium.

Since its launch, the RRR campaign has been successful in collecting significant amount of materials from over 10 ward-level RRR centres in Dimapur. The materials were brought to the centralised RRR centre.

After the campaign launch, it has collected 54.77 kg of plastics, 165.41 kg of old books, 196.25 kg of footwear, 864.05 kg of used clothes, 99.53 kg of toys and 97.48 kg of newspapers.

The DMC announced that the second collection date at the centralised temporary RRR centre would be held on June 3.
