Realme unveils new Realme 10s with Dimensity 810 and 90Hz display
Oppo’s sub-brand, Realme, on Friday released its newest android smartphone, the Realme 10s in China. The new device is the latest addition to its Realme 10 lineup, a lineup that already has four devices including the Realme 10 4G, Realme 10 5G, Realme 10 Pro, and Realme 10 Pro+.
Interestingly, the new Realme 10s shares almost identical specs with the older Realme 9i 5G apart from some upgraded features.
The key differences between the Realme 10s and the Realme 9i 5G are the amount of RAM and storage. The Realme 10s comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage and a dedicated microSD card slot for expansion of up to 1TB. In comparison, the Realme 9i 5G has up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Another key difference between the two phones is their charging speeds. The Realme 10s boasts a faster 33W charging speed, while the Realme 9i 5G has a slower 18W charging speed.
Additionally, the Realme 10s features a dual-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50MP camera and a depth sensor. The Realme 9i 5G, on the other hand, features a triple-camera setup which includes a 50MP primary camera alongside a portrait and macro sensor.
Despite these differences, the Realme 10s and the Realme 9i 5G share some specs similarities. For instance, both phones are powered by Mediatek’s Dimensity 810 chipset and run on Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0. They also both have a 6.6″ FullHD+ 90Hz LCD display and support for 5G. The Realme 10s even has the same 8MP selfie shooter and side-mounted fingerprint reader as the Realme 9i 5G.
The Realme 10s is available in two storage options: 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. It also has two colour options, blue or black. These models are currently available for pre-order on Realme’s official Chinese website and will go on sale starting December 20. The company has yet to announce a release date for the India launch.
