Kohima, May 31 (EMN): A total of 62 students from Kohima Bible College (KBC) have graduated with Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) and Master of Divinity (M Div.) during its 48th graduation ceremony held at Multi-purpose Hall, Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS) in Kohima on Tuesday.

Addressing the ceremony, Rev. Dr. K Benry Lotha, senior pastor of Kohima Lotha Baptist Church (KLBC), advised the graduates to live a life of humility in the fear of God and warned that pride is an offence in the sight of God. He also exhorted them to live a life of integrity and urged them to willfully and skillfully serve God in the service of people.

The speaker pointed out that in investment for the kingdom of God, even the little ones are important. He, therefore, urged the graduates to be instruments of righteousness.

Meanwhile, the principal of Kohima Bible College (KBC), Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo also exhorted the graduates that Christians should be disciple of God carrying the cross and be followers of Christ and be fishers of man.

Earlier, a speech on behalf of graduating students was delivered by Keletonu Thokwe, while songs were presented by the students.

The programme was presided over by assistant professor Dr. Keniepfenuo Rupreo, and the Academic dean, R Bendang Kichu, led in the presentation of awards and certificates.

Awards for M Div.

  • Academic Proficiency Award was awarded to Keletonu Thokwe for scoring highest total marks.
  • KBC’s President Award was awarded to Keleonu Thokwe for scoring highest percentage in OT.
  • KBC’s Principal’s Award was awarded to Thejaseno Ltu for scoring highest mark in NT.

Other Awards

  • Thejaseno Ltu and Khriesa-o Kense were conferred Late Rev Neihulie’s Award for Practical Ministry.
  • Meziekhonuo Pucho and Ketoukholie were conferred Spiritual Ministry Award.
  • Kevilhounuo Kenguruse was conferred Social Service Award

Awards for B. Th.

  • Academic Proficiency Award was awarded to Lhouvieo Koza for scoring highest total marks.
  • KBC’s President Award  was awarded to Shehülü Nakro for scoring highest percentage in OT.
  • KBC’s Principal’s Award was awarded to Atsolu Nienu for scoring highest mark in NT.

Other Awards

  • Theshen Rengma and K Ngoulang John were conferred with Late Rev Neihulie’s Award for Practical Ministry.
  • Jubileelu and Jitendra Tripura were conferred with Spiritual Ministry Award.
  • Social Service Awards were conferred to Mengubeizo Chadi, Vekhrope-u Koza and Vilakuo Mepfhiio

Student of the Year 2022 award was conferred to Sweyiekunu Khatso.

Mentioned maybe made here that 17 students graduated with Master of Divinity and one graduated with Master of divinity (extension), while 44 students graduated with Bachelor of Theology on Monday.
