Ending year 2022 on a positive note for the sports fraternity in Nagaland, two Naga girls - Sezovelu Dozo and Seyiekhrieno Tepa - won a gold medal each at the 4th South Asian Sepaktakraw Championship held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, which concluded on December 30, 2022.

Speaking to Eastern Mirror over the phone right after the Indian team landed in Kolkata, an elated Sezovelu Dozo shared the good news that she and Seyiekhrieno Tepa won gold medals as part of the Indian team, which won a total five gold medals.

It was informed that Indian men won three gold medals in team event, regu event and quadrant event, while the women team won two gold medals in regu and quadrant events.

Meanwhile, the Nagaland Sepaktakraw Association (NSA) organised a felicitation program for the two gold medal winners Sezovelu Dozo and Seyiekhrieno Tepa. The director of Youth Resources & Sports, was the special guest of the programme, an update informed.
