38th UVYO sports meet underway

CHUMOUKEDIMA — The 38th Urra Village Youth Organisation (UVYO) sports meet got underway in Chümoukedima.

A diverse array of competitions including Naga wrestling alongside men's football and both men's and women's volleyball, are the main events of the sports meet. The meet also include boys' and girls' badminton in both singles and doubles categories and junior girls’ 100m race.

Besides, the competitions also feature a seasoned display of skills in veteran badminton (singles) and a women's penalty shootout.

The participating teams include Urra Group-A, Urra Group-B, Urra Nagamese CRC, Urra Boro and Urra Hindu-Muslim, collectively contributing to the rich tapestry of the event.
