Miss Hornbill International 2023 was launched on Saturday with Imlibenla Wati Nienu, Miss Nagaland 2012, Miss Elite runner-up 2015 and Miss Super Talent World runner-up 2016 as special guest.

The launching programme was held at Hotel Japfü in Kohima.

At the launching programme, Nienu expressed delight over the initiative and for coming out with the event to create bigger opportunities for the girls in reaching out beyond borders and bringing the international level beauty pageant in the state.

She viewed that the organisers, Vogue Entertainment Nagaland (VEN), has uplifted the pageant industry into another level and she hailed the team for their consistency, hardwork and determination. Further she exuded hope that the team would do well to host the event a grand success.

Ezhotou Keyho, Femina Miss India Nagaland 2023, and operational head of Miss Hornbill International 2023, in her keynote address stated that the VEN organized this year’s Miss Phek where it has also established Miss Phek foundation for the education of girl child.

She said that Miss Hornbill International was officially announced in 2021 and the 1st edition is scheduled to be held this year on December 2.

She added that the sole purpose of coming up with the event was to promote the culture and tradition of Nagaland in order to transmit the growth of ethnicity, expand pageantry and promote tourism in the state and take Nagaland beyond.

Miss Hornbill International will focus on pageantry tourism, promotion of local artisans and will also be a stakeholder in beauty pageants in creating global liaison.

The media campaign will be organised with the All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) as it poster campaign partner.

Victor Rutsa, an official from ANTA expressed happiness on being a part of the event.

At the event, Imlibenla Wati Nienu, also launched the Logo of Miss Hornbill International 2023 and flagged-off the poster campaign in the presence of Suzzanah Awomi, Femina Miss India 2022, Miss Nagaland 2nd runner-up and Miss Dimapur 2021.

The programme was led by Kuno Resuh, Team Leader (Admin) VEN and invocation prayer by Vilhousa Movi.
