Dimapur, April 21 (EMN): To curb malpractices by traders during the lockdown, officials of Zeme Youth Organisation Nagaland (ZYON) visited Peren town to ensure that prices of basic essential commodities remain unchanged as prescribed by the district administration.

ZYON officials also visited the District Hospital Peren and lauded the extra work rendered by medical staff under the medical superintendent Dr. Hatling, an update from the organisation said. However, it expressed discontentment over the poor infrastructure at the District Hospital.

In a review meeting chaired by the deputy commissioner, Peren, Sentiwapang Aier in the presence of the opposition leader TR zeliang, various HoDs, frontal organisations, and NGO leaders, ZYON lauded the district administration, police department and medical department for their selfless service in the fight against the spread of Covid-19. It also requested the concerned authority to maintain transparency in implementing relief fund sanctioned for Peren district.

ZYON also encouraged the public to co-operate and follow safety guidelines and precautions. It further appreciated the opposition leader Zeliang for his time, effort, and concern towards the people in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
