Dimapur, June 10 (EMN): The Zeliangrong Youth Front president Titus Kamei accompanied by Asst. General Secretary Gaiganglung Golmei met N. Biren Singh, Chief Minister of Manipur today and has submitted memorandum demanding for urgent materialization of Manipur State Transportation (MST) system for the people of Tamenlgong district on top priority basis as a special case, reported through a press release.
It further stated that, the Manipur Govt. had taken a cabinet decision for re-introduction/revival for Manipur State Transportation (MST) system considering the urgent necessity to ameliorate the suffering of the hills districts due to absence of proper transportation mode arranged by State Govt. since the discontinuation of MSRTC service for the last more than twenty years ago.
The State Govt. of the past has not formulated the decision or any steps to ease the suffering of the people of hills districts, it added.
