Zunheboto to get four ventilators soon

Dimapur, June 27 (EMN): Advisor for Tourism, Art and Culture Khehovi Yeptho on Saturday informed the Zunheboto district task force members that four ventilators would soon be installed in the district Covid-19 hospital by the concerned department, stated a DIPR update.

Interacting with the members at the deputy commissioner’s residence, the advisor emphasised on the need to disseminate awareness at the village-level. He thanked and appreciated all those who have been working tirelessly for the common cause during this trying time. On behalf of the government, he encouraged the frontline workers to work united in combating the novel coronavirus.

Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. K Akaho Sema informed that the district has so far received a total of 428 returnees, of which 107 completed both institutional and home quarantine period and 287 are undergoing home quarantine.

He also informed that out of 499 samples, 344 were tested through TrueNat machine and 165 in BSL Kohima and 16 sample results are awaited. The three positive patients in district Covid-19 hospital are asymptomatic and doing well, he added.

Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Peter Lichamo thanked the advisor for reviewing the preparedness and situation of the district.
