DIMAPUR — The District Health Society Zunheboto concluded National Newborn Week 2023 on the theme ‘Nurturing newborn lives through community-facility engagement’ on Tuesday.

According to a press release, the week-long programme was held from November 15 to November 21 across all health units in the Zunheboto district, with the goal of raising awareness about the critical role of newborn care in ensuring child survival and development.

Dr. Heto, district programme officer (Universal Immunisation Programme and Reproductive Child Health), had launched the National Newborn Week at the District Hospital Zunheboto in the district headquarters.

He emphasised the importance of community engagement in ensuring the well-being of newborns in his speech.
