DIMAPUR — The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Zunheboto took place under the chairmanship of Advisor for Land Resources and chairman of Zunheboto DPDB, Ikuto G Zhimomi, at DC’s conference hall on Tuesday.

According to an update from the DIPR, Zhimomi acknowledged all the heads of offices for their contributions during the 50 years of Zunheboto districthood and Ahuna festival celebration and commended them for making the programme a success. He advised them to be sincere in their work, urging them to be present at their respective stations and serve the people with full dedication.

He also asked them to try to create job opportunities for the people through their respective departments and released the souvenir of the recently held Golden Jubilee-cum-Ahuna celebration.

It also stated that the agenda discussed during the meeting included the establishment of an SDAO Agri office at Atoizu, the establishment of an EAC headquarters in Tokiye town, and a request for jungle cutting clearance from the power department, which the house agreed on and decided to send to higher authorities for approval.

Longleng: The Longleng DPDB meeting for January was held on Tuesday at the DPDB hall, chaired by DC and vice chairman of Longleng DPDB, Dharam Raj.

During the meeting, the DC requested that all heads of offices submit agendas via the DPDB, and the house discussed and deliberated on the upcoming Republic Day celebration. Raj reminded the officers to carry out their assigned tasks in accordance with work distribution and to coordinate for a successful Republic Day celebration in the district.

The house also discussed the shortage of junior commissioned officers and training for the newly recruited personnel of village guards in the district.

The department of Village Guards highlighted their activities through a PowerPoint presentation on the occasion. Meanwhile, the department of Forest has been tasked with presenting their departmental activities in the next meeting.
