Dimapur, March 10 (EMN): The Zunheboto district planning and development board (DPDB) was held on March 9 in the DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of the additional deputy commissioner (ADC), Renbomo Ezung, in the presence of its chairman and advisor of School Education, KT Sukhalu.
A DIPR report stated that the additional deputy commissioner has welcomed all the members and laid down the agenda to be discussed. It added that the members discussed on setting up of a public park in Zunheboto.
It added that a search committee was constituted to identify suitable location to set up the public park. The committee was further directed to submit its report within a month.
KT Sukhalu, who is also the chairman of Zunheboto DPDB, thanked the members for their presence at the meeting. The chairman as he has been warning earlier directed the officers of various departments to be present at the station and also asked the administration to furnish the names of the officials who has never attended the planning board meeting so that strict action will be taken against them. He also asked the administration to assist the ongoing two-lane road construction so that no obstruction arises and that work goes smoothly. The chairman also directed the officers to submit the names of the grade four employees who have been transferred out of the district. The advisor added that grade four employees were not transferable and so action would be taken against them.
The department of Agriculture presented its activities carried out under IFAD including distribution of 30 tonnes of kharif to 100 villages, 15 tonnes of rabi crops to 100 villages and creation of 40 water harvesting ponds at 40 villages.
