Zunheboto DPDB recommends upgrade of police station at Atoizü town
Dimapur, Dec. 8 (EMN): Zunheboto district planning and development board (DPDB) has approved and recommended for an upgrade of an outpost police station at Atoizü town to a full-fledged police station.
The approval and recommendation for the upgrade was made during its monthly meeting held at Zunheboto town hall on December 8 under the chairmanship of the deputy commissioner and vice chairman DPDB, Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, a DIPR report stated.
The board felt the need to upgrade the police station as Atoizü, being an ADC headquarter, and the law and order situation around Asukuto town and other parts. In that respect, the members felt that Atoizü deserved a full-fledged police station as proposed by the respective administrative heads.
Earlier, the meeting began with a review of the previous meeting’s agendas and an introduction of new members posted in the district.
It stated that the deputy commissioner has requested the board members to clear all the files before leaving for the Christmas holidays.
The meeting concluded with greetings for the festive season from the chairman.
