NCA U-23 inter district cricket tournament
Dimapur, April 13 (EMN): Zunheboto and Dimapur from Group A have qualified by defeating their respective opponents at the ongoing Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) Under-23 inter-district cricket tournament played at NCA stadium, Sovima, on April 13.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, Zunheboto defeated Mon by 18 runs. Zunheboto secured 151 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. Kihika contributed 34 runs, while Shubham made 31 runs, and Nihuto made 15 runs. Dheeraj took two wickets.
Mon could secure 133 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Phaknyu made 53 runs, while Dheeraj made 42 runs.
In the second match, Dimapur defeated Peren by 40 runs.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, Dimapur made 163 runs for 7 wickets in 23 overs.
Sedezhalie from Dimapur made 66 runs, while Mannarayan and Puchu made 35 and 16 runs respectively. Om Sangma and Raja claimed four and two wickets respectively.
Peren could secure 73 all out in 11.5 overs. Shubham and Argha made 18 and 11 respectively. Tahmeed and Akavi took three wickets each for Peren.
