Zubza CRPF organises civic action programme

78th bn CRPF handing over relief materials to the Don Bosco Christian Convent in Sechu-Zubza on April 18.

Dimapur, April 19 (EMN): Amid the nationwide lockdown in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, the 78th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Zubza on April 18, organised a civic action programme at Don Bosco Christian Convent, Sechu-Zubza and distributed ration.

The battalion distributed 50 kg of rice, 10 kg of dal and other essentials and protection kits to Don Bosco Christian Convent, an update from the troops' official informed.

The  78 Bn CRPF since its  induction in Nagaland has been organising  such programmes every year and mingle with the civilian public,   share their grievances and provide the basic amenities, it said.

 Hari Kumar S L D/C on behalf of commandant 78th Bn expressed that such gestures will enhance  the bondage between the villagers and security personnel.

He also said that the CRPF indeed is a friend for the people in need and is looking  for more such programmes in the future.

Further, he  urged the villagers to take an active part in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and strictly follow all the preventive measure.
